Short answer: Choose Starter if you're bringing together CRM and simple marketing with a small team (max 5 paid seats). Choose Professional when you need workflows, attribution and scaling - it's standard for growing Nordic B2B. Choose Enterprise when you need multiple teams, advanced management, sandbox and high data volume. All editions include the hubs in the package - the difference is depth, limits and credits.
One edition, all hubs - what does that mean?
From 2026, you'll largely no longer need to buy the Marketing Hub and Sales Hub separately. You choose the Customer Platform edition and get Marketing, Sales, Service, CMS etc. within that edition's boundaries. It simplifies your budget - but requires you to understand seats and credits as well. Read all about it in the Full guide on HubSpot's new pricing model
Starting - when enough is enough
Suitable for:
- Small B2B teams (often under 10 employees) who want to move away from spreadsheet CRM
- Simple email, form, pipeline and website
- Max 5 paid seats - important limit
Limitations: little advanced automation, simpler reports, lower included credit pot. Often right for 6-12 months before upgrading.
Price indication: from approx. €20 per Core Seat/month with annual payment (check HubSpot for NOK and current rates).
Professional - sweet spot for growing B2B
Suitable for:
- Marketing and sales teams who need to automate lead nurturing and handoff
- Attribution, A/B testing, custom reports
- More than 5 users and need for Front Office seats for salespeople
Please note: one-time onboarding fee (varies by hub/scope). Include it in your year-one budget - see 4 questions before purchase.
Price indication: Core from approx. €60/month, Front Office higher - credits approx. 3,000/month included (verify in portal).
Enterprise - when scale and control demand it
Suitable for:
- Larger organizations with. access control , sandbox environments
- Custom objects, multiple brands/domains, strict compliance requirements
- High consumption of AI and data across departments
Price indication: higher seat price + larger credit pot + higher onboarding. Calculate total with partner if implementation is complex.

Decision tree in 60 seconds
- Do you need workflows that drive the pipeline without manual copying? → at least Professional.
- Are you ≤5 people and just getting started? → Starter can work.
- Do you need a sandbox, custom objects, SSO ? → Enterprise.
- Uncertain total price? Read the cheaper prices and compare with other CRMs.
Frequently asked questions
Can we start on Starter and upgrade to Professional?
Yes, we can. Many people do. Plan migration of workflows and data as you approach your limits - don't wait until the campaign stops.
Is Professional always right for B2B?
For most growth companies with dedicated marketing/sales, yes. Very small or purely manual teams can live on Starter for a shorter time.
What is the biggest mistake when choosing an edition?
Buying Professional without the capacity to use automation - or staying on Starter when the pipeline requires handoff and attribution.
Do all editions include AI?
AI tools are available, but consume credits. Higher edition gives bigger pot - not unlimited use.
